FSI Technologies Exhibits In Assembly Technology Expo /
Robots & Vision Show

FSI Technologies exhibited in the
Assembly Technology Expo / Robots & Vision Show September 27th through
29th in the Chicago area. In preparation for the Expo, FSI doubled the
size of its booth to accommodate several new exhibits showing its
machine vision products in action.
A
new centerpiece for showing FSI’s machine vision products in action was
a 7’ tall operating Ferris wheel. The 12 Mr. Potatoheads® riding the
Ferris wheel received numerous types of automatic inspection including
NeuroCheck® -powered Neural Net color analysis. FSI also exhibited a
FyrEye™ automatic gauging system operating on the Ferris wheel. It
performed numerous high accuracy complex measurements after correcting
an image for compounded distortions that were deliberately introduced.
The FireCube™ Max was also debuted. This is the larger form factor
version of the FireCube™, upsized to accommodate the newest extremely
high performance and more option-laden configurations of CVS-700 family
vision systems.
FSI Technology’s FSI Encoder/Counter/Sensor division
exhibited standard and hollow shaft rotary incremental encoders, a new
machine-tool absolute encoder, counter-based displays and controls, and
specialized OEM photoelectric sensors.
FSI’s
Express (on-line) division exhibited Euresys framegrabbers, LED
backlights, and X-Beam high power beam style LED lights. The exhibit
included both general and machine vision versions of the X-Beam, and the
new KFLP series adjustable X-Beam power supply.
